Nowadays, there are more moms than ever in the workforce. Women now make up half of the work class in the United States, with nearly 5 in 10 homes having a mom that is also a full time employee. Being a full-time working mom can lead to feelings of guilt and stress because of divided attention between work and family. What its the key to avoid negative feelings?
The key is to focus on a plan, get organized, and find the right balance between profession and parenthood. Plan and deal with weekday mornings smartly is the best choice.
It is a fact that for working moms it is not easy to jump out of bed, get dressed, grab a cup of coffee and be off to work on time. And the reality becomes harder when you have small kids to wake up, feed and dress, pack lunch for, and drop off to school.
It is important to analyze your activities and pinpoint the ones that stress you the most. Once you have worked out a plan to simplify them, you will find your life free of much clutter. But the reality is that these stress-causing activities vary from one working mom to another
Mark out a day in the calendar for a date night or a girl’s night out. Plan well in advance and make babysitting arrangements so that you will be able to really enjoy your night out. If possible, go for a short holiday with you partner or friends while your children have fun at the weekend camp. Do not let the burden of everyday routine snuff out the romance or the fun part from your life. Being a working mom isn’t easy, but with the right job and an accommodating schedule, it can be rewarding.
As a personal experience a working mom puts everything and everyone before herself. It is important you give attention and care to yourself as well. Try to fit in some personal time in your schedule and stop being a perfectionist. Be flexible, go with the flow and be okay even if your plan doesn’t works. It will on another day...
