Exercise and Mood Have a Relationship

Each day, choose one exercise you enjoy doing and do it for at least 20 minutes.  It can be riding a bike, walking, playing tag, doing gymnastics, playing a sport, dancing, running...anything that gets your heart rate up and makes you breathe hard counts.  Research has shown that daily exercise helps improve mood.

How does exercising make you feel? Do you feel happier when you're done? Or like you have more energy? What is your favorite kind of exercise to do? Do you prefer to exercise alone or with other people? Think about these things as you're exercising and then share with a friend or trusted adult."
