Run Safely Amid COVID-19


Experts say that, for the most part , the activity, along with walking , may be one of the only safe and healthy things people can do outside the home, even while social distance and in some cases , during self- quarantine. Getting in 30 to 60 minutes of moderate brisk activity can help your immune system to keep viruses away. Exercising outside should be safe as long as appropriate social distancing methods are maintained.


This is what experts says about running/jogging outside;

  • If you are keeping at least a six-foot distance from the next person, running outside is particularly reasonable.

  • If you’re going to a non-crowed place, it is ok.

  • As long as you are alone, it is safe.

  • If you are protecting yourself and those around you by spreading out avoiding unnecessary hand-touching.

  • Bringing your own water bottle, no sharing personal belongings.
